This huge deposit of Silicon Dioxide was discovered already in the 1960s, but re-discoveries and the first talks between the founders of Silica Mining Corporation Ltd about the possibility of purchasing a large plot rich in silica were conducted already in the late 1990s, many years before the very establishment of the company.
Only at the beginning of 2016, in relation to commercial values, the volume, value and quality of SiO2 deposits on the plot in question were more precisely determined, which resulted in the founders' decision to form a company and purchase this valuable plot of land.
